A matching name or username is not proof of identity. Saved checks stay on your device.

What you can do

  • Use a name, username or public profile link to open searches and links for seven social platforms.
  • Add up to three specific profile links and compare contact routes, information and signs of pressure.
  • Choose an optional public Bluesky lookup. A result shows an account, not the person behind it.
  • Save up to five checks with your answers in this browser. Reopen or remove them under Gemte.
Why this app?

Check a contact before sharing more

A name or profile picture does not tell you who is writing. Profile Check helps children and adults explore public information before placing trust in a contact.

Find possible profile links from a username or name, or add a link you already know. Compare the information and use the questions to separate what you know from what remains uncertain.

Matching names, pictures or usernames do not prove that profiles have the same owner. The app does not verify identity, compare faces or monitor in the background. Children should contact an adult if someone pressures or threatens them.

Get started
  1. Open Find profil. Paste a known profile link or search by username or name.
  2. Only open the search links you want to explore. External sites may require sign-in and are not content-filtered by Profile Check.
  3. Add relevant profile links and work through the questions. Confirm a contact through a channel you already know.
  4. Choose Gem på enheden, name the check and find it again under Gemte. Only save what you need.
