Who are these terms for?
The draft applies to children, parents, guardians, professionals and others using the website or web apps. A parent or guardian should normally approve the child’s setup and features that need consent together with the child. Accepting the terms is not consent to all data processing.
Free apps for testing
The ten apps are free web apps for testing. Accounts and sign-in emails are not open, and the new online test addresses are access protected. Safe Browser’s protected online test has its own server and private storage. Public access, physical-phone installation and app-store release require separate verification.
What depends on the browser
Camera access, clipboard, installation and use without internet depend on browser support and permissions. The web apps do not monitor or control other apps or payments. Safe Browser’s rules are enforced only in its text reader.
Parents’ and guardians’ responsibility
Parents and guardians are responsible for suitable agreements, relevant permissions and conversations about use. If an online service is offered directly to children in Denmark and processing relies on GDPR consent, consent for a child under 15 must be given or authorised by the holder of parental responsibility. This is not a general age limit for every feature.
Children’s privacy and rights
Discuss what you save and who can read it. Respect the child’s privacy and rights. Use only content you may lawfully process and keep no more information about others than you need. You choose whether to copy text or export images and data backups.
School and Institution
School is a separate app for professionals. It has no student accounts, shared system for school data or control over students’ phones. Institution is planned. The school must establish a lawful basis for any personal data and use fictional examples where possible. Consent is not automatically the right basis for every school activity.
Contact with trusted adults
Family saves the adults and contact details you add. There is no separate Helper app, shared account roles or automatic sharing with adults. The app does not automatically request help or send alerts. Protect the device, browser profile, parent code, recovery keys and downloaded files.
How suggestions and checks work
Safe Camera uses image models on the device that may miss or misclassify content. Safe Keyboard uses a word list and fixed suggestions. Parent Coach and Learning have written steps and exercises. AI Check examines origin information on the device and cannot prove AI use from writing style. No external AI service is connected. Review results yourself before acting or sharing.
Acceptable use
Use Sprout legally and responsibly. Do not bypass rules, access others’ data or disrupt operation. Do not use the apps for hidden surveillance, threats, harassment, coercive control or stalking, or to create or distribute illegal content.
Accounts and changes
Account creation and sign-in are not open. Private app data is not transferred automatically. Test features may be unstable or need setup. They may also change or be removed for safety, operation or product development. Export a copy of the data you want to keep.
Limitation of liability
No app can guarantee complete protection. Sprout does not replace emergency services, police, medical help, legal advice or professional support. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Sprout-chat (protected test)
Sprout-chat is available in the protected Vercel test. The test for two participants has text only. A finite word list automatically checks text before messages are stored and delivered, and before display. Detected content is withheld. Checks can fail and are not a guarantee. The chat does not read SMS, WhatsApp or Snapchat or check other apps. The test requires dedicated private storage and hourly cleanup. The room expires after 24 hours and holds up to 48 messages; physical deletion requires cleanup. Use fictional test data only.
