How the apps handle messages, photos and saved information, and what you need to keep in mind.
Access and separate data
Account creation and sign-in are not open yet. Each app has its own data. Private content is not collected in a shared parent feed or synced.
Content you choose
Safe Keyboard checks text you paste. Safe Camera processes photos on your device. The apps do not read content in other apps on the phone.
Keep a copy
Family, Parent Coach, Gaming & Screen Time, Learning and App Blocker save records in the browser. Export anything you want to keep before clearing browser data.
Safe Browser’s protected test
The access-protected online test uses private Vercel Blob storage in region fra1 (Frankfurt) for rules, access requests, text fingerprints, salted code and key hashes, and session hashes. Setup may also contain the child’s name and age setting. Bookmarks are saved in the browser. Full fetched pages are not stored; page text is processed temporarily on the server. A local test server may still have its own rules file, which is not automatically moved to the online test.
Image analysis and AI
There is no connection to an external AI service. Safe Camera analyses photos on the device and may miss or misclassify content.
If you find an issue
Email security@nordicdts.com and explain how the issue happens. Do not send private messages, images or sensitive child data.
Storage and deletion
Local records remain until you remove them or clear browser data. Downloaded copies must be deleted separately. In Safe Browser’s protected online test, a parent can choose Slet Browser-data (Delete Browser data) under Data og forældrekode (Data and parent code). This requires parent access, the current code and confirmation. The current server workspace’s content is replaced by a deletion marker: its name, age setting, rules, requests, approvals and access data are removed from the saved workspace content. The workspace’s hashed address and deletion timestamp remain without automatic cleanup to prevent old tabs from restoring it. Device bookmarks and downloaded copies are unaffected. This is logical deletion of app data; provider logs and backups need separate confirmation. Clearing cookies does not delete server data and may remove your access to the workspace. Use fictional test data only and email privacy@nordicdts.com about server data and rights.
Sprout-chat
Sprout-chat is available in the protected Vercel test. The test for two participants has text only. A finite word list automatically checks text before messages are stored and delivered, and before display. Detected content is withheld. Checks can fail and are not a guarantee. The chat does not read SMS, WhatsApp or Snapchat or check other apps. Use fictional test data only in the protected test.
